Motorcycle Seat Upholstery in Ontario

Motorcycle seat foam modify

I repair, recover and reshape motorcycle seats at Potzy’s Upholstery in Georgetown, Ontario. I’ve worked in upholstery since 1984 and can help you restore the original seat, change how it fits, or design a custom cover.

Motorcycle Seat Repair & Reupholstery

If your motorcycle seat has torn vinyl, a split seam or worn foam, I’ll inspect the cover, foam and seat pan before recommending a repair. Sometimes a damaged section can be repaired. If the rest of the cover is also brittle or worn, a replacement cover may make more sense.

A new cover can keep the original style or change the colour, texture and stitching. If the foam has broken down, I can assess what needs rebuilding before fitting the new cover.

Motorcycle Seat Foam Reshaping & Comfort

How a seat feels depends on where it supports you and how it meets your legs. For example, narrowing the front can give your legs a straighter path to the ground. Depending on the seat, I can also lower or raise the sitting area or reshape it for a different riding position.

If you feel pressure on longer rides or slide toward the tank, tell me when it happens. That helps me decide where to change the foam while keeping the support you need. I can also assess the passenger section or backrest when the project calls for it.

Custom Motorcycle Seat Covers & Materials

I use seat upholstery materials suited to regular riding and outdoor exposure. We can choose a smooth or textured finish, match the bike’s colours, or use contrast stitching and different panels to change the look. I’ll explain which materials make sense for how you ride and store the bike.

I can also assess heated seat options while the cover is off. Fit and installation depend on the seat, the bike and the heater kit. Let me know if you want heat when you request an estimate.

Motorcycle Seat Upholstery Serving Georgetown & Ontario

I work from Georgetown and serve riders from Halton Hills, Milton, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Toronto and communities across Ontario. Send photos and your bike details first so we can discuss the work before you bring in the seat.

Motorcycle Seat Upholstery FAQs

Can You Narrow My Seat for Better Reach?

Often, yes. Narrowing the foam near the front can give your legs more room when you put your feet down. The amount I can remove depends on the seat pan, the existing foam and how much support you need.

Can You Keep My Original Seat Cover?

Sometimes. If the cover is in good shape and still fits after the foam changes, I may be able to reuse it. If the shape changes substantially, I’ll discuss altering the cover or making a new one.

Do You Work on Harley-Davidson and Other Motorcycles?

Yes. I work on Harley-Davidson seats as well as seats for other makes, including cruisers, touring bikes, sport bikes and older motorcycles. Send the year, make and model so I can assess your particular seat.

What Do You Need for an Estimate?

Send the year, make and model, photos from the top and side, and a close-up of any damage. Tell me whether you want a repair, a new cover or a change in seat shape. If comfort is the concern, describe where you feel pressure or how you want the seat to fit.
